These fun scatter pins are created by covering actual discarded cicada exoskeletons in copper at room temperature. They are finished in a bronze or green patina. Each one is unique so yours will look similar to the pieces pictured here. They work like a scatter pin or tie tack with a single post through fabric and are secured by a pinch clutch. Great for attaching in a place that looks like it just fell on you! Some have the pronounced crack where the cicada emerged and flew away.
